Unusually inhospitable and unprofessional service. When booking our stay at the Swissotel on the Accor website, I wrote my preferences (upgrade & late check-out), intended for reservations and the front desk. Upon arrival 31.10.2025 at approximately 17:00, I realized that know one had bothered to address (read) my requests as a tier member of the Accor chain. This was my fifth or sixth stay at this hotel, and it unfortunately became the all-time low. I had requested a room similar to previous stays, such as 2906, and a late check-out at 15:00. The front desk senior representative had handed us off to a junior representative (no other customers in sight at that time). When realizing my growing frustration at receiving a room on the 15th floor, the senior representative asked when we wanted to check out (15:00). She replied, "No problem," but never registered this in the reservation system. On our departure date (02.11.2025), my wife asked to reinstate her card and was told that we could check out at 14:00. We had made brunch plans according to the original checkout confirmed at our check-in. This was an ongoing merry-go-round until check out: for example, I was advised that our lodgings were EUR 200 higher in total than our confirmation...On a positive note, my wife had breakfast on 01.11.2025 and was welcomed by the attendant with joy and pleasantness that we have always experienced. I have been an Accor member since the late 90s, and have mostly stayed at Sofitel establishments in Philadelphia, New York, London, Chicago, and Washington D.C., where I experienced excellent service.

The room was spacious and had a great view, luxurious bathroom - both shower and tub. And a very comfortable bed and pillows. Friendly helpful staff at the reception and breakfast. The breakfast was very good as well. Excellent omelettes.

Great stay overall : the view from the room was incredible, the location very central, and the staff genuinely nice and helpful. We had only one concern: for a five-star hotel, it feels a bit poor to provide just one small (50cl) bottle of water for two guests. At the very least, we would expect a large (1.5L) complimentary bottle in the room. We arrived late at night and were very thirsty, so we had to take an extra bottle from the minibar (which isn’t free). As a regular 5-star traveler, I would say this is the bare minimum a hotel of this level should provide.
